Named after a surfer. Parked on the causeway.
Zeke's started in Virginia Beach in 2013, named after pro surfer Zeke Sanders, and grew up on poké, açaí and good coffee. In 2018 it crossed the state line into the old Annex Surf Supply building on Causeway Drive, the first Zeke's in North Carolina.
The food follows the surf: Hawaiian poké and loco moco, Brazilian açaí, and Lizano salsa brought in from Costa Rica on the breakfast pitas. Everything is made in a kitchen about the size of a beach cottage, which is why the line sometimes reaches the door.
Come as you are, sand and all. Grab a bowl and a cold brew, and you are at the water in two minutes.
